On Wednesday, May 11th, experts in the pre-apprenticeship and Linked Learning field gathered for a roundtable discussion on implementing pre-apprenticeship programs in the high school setting.

Join the Linked Learning Alliance for a roundtable discussion with leading voices on apprenticeships. Hosted by Linked Learning Fellow and Coordinator of College and Career at Hemet Unified School District Laura Gallardo, experts in the apprenticeship field will chat about their journeys and how they offer opportunities to students in their setting.

On Wednesday, April 13th, we heard from individuals who have experienced Linked Learning in a variety of capacities - as educators, school and district leaders, alumni, and industry partners. Their ultimate message? Linked Learning works for students, it effectively prepares everyones for both college and career, and leads to stronger communities.

Join the Linked Learning Alliance and IlluminatED Collective for From Obstacle to Equitable: Transforming Your Pathway Master Schedule Into a Tool for Equity, a virtual four-hour workshop on Thursday May 12th where school and district leaders can learn a process and strategies for how to use the master schedule and Linked Learning to advance equity and expand opportunities for students and adults.

On Tuesday February 15th, we heard from employers about what it takes to keep them engaged. Panelists from across different regions and industries shared their own experiences serving on a Linked Learning advisory board and provided valuable insights into how pathways can successfully engage employers and build advisory boards that best serve the pathway, industry, and community.

With large higher education systems like the University of California moving beyond standardized assessments for college admissions, high school educators are exploring additional ways to determine student mastery. Many turned to performance assessments even before COVID-19, and many more began to leverage this form of assessment in distance learning. On Wednesday November 17, students and education leaders from California, Colorado, and Virginia joined the Linked Learning Alliance, Center for Innovation in Education, and Envision Learning Partners to share how performance assessments have made an impact in their context.
