Introducing the Linked Learning Alliance 2025 Impact Report
We’re proud to share the Linked Learning Alliance 2025 Impact Report — a reflection of what’s possible when districts, educators, students, and partners come together around a shared commitment to preparing all adolescents to thrive in college and high-opportunity careers.
This year’s report offers a powerful, three-page snapshot of a movement that continues to grow in depth, reach, and influence. It captures how Linked Learning is not only shaping what students experience in classrooms and pathways today, but also informing how California is thinking about the future of secondary education.
A Snapshot of Progress and Possibility
The 2025 Impact Report highlights three core areas of impact:
- Linked Learning as the blueprint for college and career preparation: As California makes historic investments in redesigning education and workforce systems, the Linked Learning framework, standards, and best practices are helping translate vision into action.
- Building quality and scale across a networked field: As the backbone of the Linked Learning movement, the Alliance brings practitioners together to strengthen implementation, share evidence-based practices, and advance continuous improvement across districts and systems.
- Amplifying student voice to build public will: By elevating what young people say they want and need from their learning experiences, the Alliance helps ensure that policy and practice remain grounded in student realities and aspirations.
Highlights From the Year
Inside the report, you’ll find key milestones that reflect the strength and momentum of the Linked Learning field, including:
- The Alliance and six partner Linked Learning districts selected for California’s $10 million Secondary School Redesign Pilot
- Thousands of educators, industry partners, and civic leaders engaged in the Linked Learning movement, with hundreds actively deepening practice through Linked Learning Certification, Alliance technical assistance, and peer learning at our 2025 conference
- 1,900 Linked Learning students sharing their perspectives through our annual survey—underscoring the importance of pathway experiences and serving as some of the most powerful advocates for this work
This Impact Is Collective
At its core, this impact reflects your work, educators designing meaningful learning experiences, district leaders building systems that last, students rising to meet high expectations, and partners investing in a better future for young people.
Each page of the report represents countless hours of collaboration, innovation, and belief in what high-quality Linked Learning pathways can make possible for students across California and beyond.
Looking Ahead
As we look to the future, the momentum captured in this report reinforces an important truth: high-quality pathway systems are not a future aspiration, they are already transforming schools and lives today.
We’re excited to build on this progress in the year ahead and to continue strengthening the systems, partnerships, and student-centered practices that make Linked Learning such a powerful force for change.
