High-Quality Pathways: Gold Standards, Quality Reviews, and Continuous Improvement
As California enters the second half of the Golden State Pathways investment, county offices of education face a new challenge: helping districts move beyond pathway creation toward pathway quality. While funding can support new programs and structures, sustained student impact depends on the quality of implementation, the coherence and depth of the student experience, and the ability of educators and leaders to steadily improve their work over time.
Driving Pathway Quality Through a Regional Community of Practice
The Linked Learning Alliance collaborates with county offices to structure this work as a regional community of practice—a sustained, facilitated engagement where pathway and district teams build implementation quality together, prepare for and complete Gold Certification reviews, and translate shared experiences into regional improvements.
