Fast Forward California Website Offers Support for the State’s Golden Opportunity
The Linked Learning Alliance and our partners are pleased to announce an important new milestone on our path to making good on California’s $700 million investment in Golden State Pathways and dual enrollment.
Today the Alliance, along with Career Ladders Project, and The Education Trust—West launch the online home of Fast Forward California: FastForwardCA.org will be a hub for the latest developments, insights, and resources available to school districts and communities that are putting these public dollars to work for local students and the future of equity and prosperity where they live.
Fast Forward California is about closing the persistent gaps between our K–12, higher education, and workforce systems—and accelerating students on the path to college and career success.
The new site is designed to support everyone involved in developing college and career pathways and dual enrollment opportunities, including the Golden State Pathways Program’s Lead and Regional Technical Assistance Centers to be announced by the California Department of Education. These centers will do the critical work of assisting schools and districts receiving GSPP funds across the state, coaching them as they integrate student services and connect rigorous learning to high-wage industries, and developing systems to monitor and report progress.
Visitors to the site can connect with Fast Forward California initiative partners who offer more than a decade of expertise transforming systems for equitable student success and robust statewide networks. We’re here to bring people and institutions together in partnership, build understanding and buy-in through advocacy and effective communications, and provide a framework and technical assistance to practitioners as they plan and track their work.
Aligning educational and workforce systems around a shared vision and implementing high-quality learning programs is not easy, but Fast Forward California is ready to be a resource for communities striving to make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students and our state.
We invite you to explore the site, sign up for updates, and stay tuned. There is more to come!
