The passage of California’s new education finance law, the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), significantly increases flexibility for districts and schools to be innovative in their investments and strategies to ensure that students are college and career ready. Towards this goal, districts across the state are leveraging both Linked Learning and expanded learning time to integrate core academic content and career-based learning with an underlying focus on social, emotional and physical well-being.
Join Children Now, ConnectEd, Partnership for Children & Youth, and the Sacramento City Unified School District to learn more about these efforts and how educational leaders can leverage the LCFF to introduce or strengthen these innovative practices within their own district. Specifically, panelists will discuss:
