Establishes a competitive grant program for school districts, county offices of education, charter schools, and community college campuses to promote apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, and career pathways. Requires the Superintendent of Public Instruction to convene a committee, with designated membership, to establish criteria for awarding the grants and administer the grant program. Specifies the responsibilities of grant recipients, including
the creation of a committee to assess local skilled workforce needs, to employ a supervisor to evaluate business workforce needs and pupil outcomes, and the submission of an annual report to the State Department of Education and legislative education policy committees. Appropriates $10,000,000 from the Career Pathways Trust Fund to the State Department of Education for the funding of the grants.
