San Diego Mesa College
For Linked Learning pathways, college readiness is not only a matter of entry without remediation. Responding to the demands of the community (parents, teachers, students), San Diego Mesa College was driven to think innovatively around program structures that would equally benefit high school and community college students, in addition to their respective faculties. The college developed an Accelerated College Program that permits high school students to take political science and mathematics courses taught by Mesa College faculty and earn college credits. Come learn about Mesa college’s partnership with Kearny and other area Linked Learning schools, advice on first steps for engaging postsecondary institutions , and learn from their experience developing MOU language for data sharing that are FERPA and HIPAA compliant and beneficial for program success.
