Iishwara (Iish) Ryaru, Ed.D., is Linked Learning Alliance’s senior director, field action and advocacy. With more than 15 years of experience as a high school teacher, principal, and leader in education networking and policy, Iish brings significant expertise to bear as the Alliance strives to strengthen and expand its partnerships.
As former director of continuous improvement for the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE), Iish oversaw statewide and regional capacity-building initiatives for educators and education stakeholders. Prior to joining CCEE, Iish served as a senior engagement manager and senior program associate in the Comprehensive School Assistance Program at WestEd. Iish has also worked as the director of assessment, accountability, and specialized programs and oversaw the accountability department at the Novato Unified School District.
Iish holds an Ed.D. in educational leadership from the University of California, Davis, an M.A. in educational administration from San Francisco State University, as well as an M.A. in teaching and a B.A. in history from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
