Emily Passias is the Vice President of Policy at the Linked Learning Alliance.

With more than a decade of work in bringing high-quality, equitable career-technical education to young people through state policy, advocacy, research and data analysis, Emily brings passion and expertise to the role as the Linked Learning Alliance continues to deepen and expand its work through California and nationwide.

Prior to joining the Linked Learning Alliance, Emily addressed equity gaps in career readiness experiences through transformative work as the Director Career Readiness at the Education Strategy Group. Before her role with Education Strategy Group, Emily served as the Director of Career-Technical Education at the Ohio Department of Education where she developed the nation’s first A-F report card focused on career-technical education quality, pathways that honor college and career-based learning and culminate in credentials of value, and an equity lab model that guides and supports educators as they work to ensure equity in pathway experiences.

Emily earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. in Sociology at The Ohio State University, and completed the Strategic Data Project Fellowship through the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University.
