Debbie Aubert

Financial Manager

Debbie is the president of Sharpest Pencil, Inc., a full service bookkeeping and financial management corporation. She began working with Linked Learning Alliance, stepping into the role of finance manager, in July of 2018. She is responsible for all the day to day financial aspects of the company, working closely with the Senior Financial Consultant, providing financial reporting to the president and board of directors, playing an integral part in budgeting and the overall financial needs of the organization.

Debbie has owned and operated her own bookkeeping/finance management company for more than 10 years, where she has established a track record of accurately and efficiently supporting overall accounting and financial reporting services. Over the years she has worked with a range of clients from small independent business owners to larger corporations, concentrating more on non-profit 501(c)(3) clients in the last six years, where, in addition to day to day bookkeeping, she has provided insight and implemented systems to increase efficiency, introduce cost accounting to assist in grant reporting, and record keeping procedures to enable successful and clean audit outcomes.

Prior to running her own business, Debbie worked as the controller for a commercial real estate developer for 8 years, where she was responsible for the financial management of commercial properties, assisted in the formation of several LLCs, providing financial reporting for investors and lenders, and supported the CPA in the preparation of tax returns for multiple entities.
