AB 1619 (Gonzalez-D)

Ensures that a certificated employee of a school district, regardless of the average daily attendance of the school district or county superintendent of schools, who completes 2 consecutive years and is reelected shall become and be classified as a permanent employee.  In addition, if a probationary employee has served for at least 75% of a full time position in a school year, then they are deemed as completing the full year. Ensures the reclassification of a certificated employee of a school to be classified as a permanent employee upon completion two consecutive years in a given position, regardless of pupil attendance.  Ensures that the service done by an instructor at a regional occupational center or program is included in computing the service required as a prerequisite to attainment of, or eligibility to, classification as a permanent employee of a school district.
