Alex Taghavian serves as Vice President of the Linked Learning Alliance. He has over 15 years of education leadership and teaching experience, and has extensive expertise in economic and workforce development strategies. Prior to joining the Alliance, Alex served in academic management roles for public and private universities, including as an adjunct professor at Sacramento State teaching scholarly writing and research methodologies.
Alex leads strategy for college and career preparation initiatives. He manages design and implementation of technology solutions, work-based learning projects, and philanthropic partnerships. Along with his duties at the Alliance, Alex participates in several volunteer leadership capacities. He serves on the board of directors of the Los Rios Foundation and the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce board where he is the 2nd Vice Chair.
