Mark your calendars (literally and on Facebook!), the Linked Learning Convention 2019 will be taking place between March 19 – 21! We are happy to host the event at the Renaissance Indian Wells, a corporate partner that is already engaged with the region’s efforts to expand Linked Learning opportunities for students in the Coachella Valley.
This is a great opportunity to learn from educators, postsecondary institutions, and economic development and employer leaders who came together to make the vision of Linked Learning a reality. The OneFuture Coachella Valley is a prime example of what happens when a region comes together with a strong sense of purpose to help all students graduate prepared for college, career, and life. We cannot wait to highlight the work that has been happening there over the past decade.

Request for Proposals
Request for #LLCon2019 Breakout Session Proposals Now Open!
The Linked Learning Alliance invites proposal submissions for 75- or 30-minute breakout sessions to be presented during the 2019 Linked Learning Convention, March 19-21, 2019 in Palm Springs, CA. The 2019 Convention theme is The Power of Plus! The conference will bring together more than 800 leaders in education, business, workforce development, and policy for thoughtful discussion and meaningful professional learning aimed at ensuring all students are well prepared for college, career, and life.
We are looking for presenters that inspire and strengthen the Linked Learning field to submit proposals that appeal to all types of adult learners. In order to have the best educational experience for the participants at the Convention, we are looking to move away from the traditional lecture formats to a more participant-based education session.
Session format ideas include:
- Problem Solving – speakers pose a problem and lead attendees through exercises to develop solutions
- Panel Presentation – moderated discussion by no more than three panel members and one moderator
- Experimental/Case Study – speakers review a case study and discussions are broken up into small groups
- Interactive Presentation and Group Discussions
Please use this list of strands as inspiration for your session proposal. For additional guidance on preparing your sessions for submission, please check out our Guidance Doc. We welcome innovative ideas and new approaches to sharing Linked Learning expertise!
